|
Business Link Kent http://www.businesslinkkent.com appoints web analytics and measurement company WebtraffIQ http://www.webtraffiq.com to monitor their website traffic and usability. Business Link Kent investigated a number of web traffic monitoring tools, after deciding to re-design their website to enhance its usability. Appointing WebtraffIQ, after reviewing Audieneta, ClickStream, Intellitracker, RedSheriff and Speedtrap against their requirements and existing use of WebTrends. Business Link Kent found that incomplete log file statistics failed to tell them the use that visitors were making of the site. Choosing the right web analytics provider was crucial for Business Link Kent because they were planning to invest a substantial amount into the re-design of their website. They required a solution that provided required robust, reliable and accurate information to base decisions that would shape the physical attributes of the website and maximise user experience. e-Business co-ordinator at Business Link Kent Anthony Butler explains, “We were planning to invest substantial resources in re-designing our website, but had no objective data and little anecdotal data to help us. We made the decision that we must have some reliable basic information with which to make our re-design decisions.” Not only are the WebtraffIQ results currently featuring very significantly in the on going re-designing of the website navigation, but it has enabled Business Link Kent to monitor click- throughs to third party websites from email campaigns. Monitoring links on the home page has also allowed study into the hierarchy of user interests and as a result, the items on the current home page have been re-ordered in the short term. Anthony adds, “We are enjoying the better general statistics that WebtraffIQ delivers to us. The accurate ratio of returning to new visitors is particularly interesting. We have also been able to use the system to fill the gap in our email monitoring and can now tell how many people click on the website hyperlinks that we provide in our bulk emails – even if the website are ones over which we have no control whatsoever.” Marcos Richardson, European Director at WebtraffIQ comments, “We are extremely pleased to have been appointed by Business Link Kent especially after having been compared to six other strong global competitors within the web analytics field. They clearly needed something more powerful than Webtrends, had clear and concise objectives, and we are pleased to have met their criteria on every level.“ |
