| 1st Jun 2003 | s8080 Peaks with Lee Valley Contract | ||||||
|
South Wales and Oxford based digital media company s8080, recently announced that they had successfully tendered for and won the contract to develop a new web site for the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, which straddles the M25 in North East London. Financial Director Gerhard Manogg said: 'This latest contract with Lee Valley is further evidence that the quality of our Technical work, the high standards we set for Graphic design, and above all the cost effectiveness of being based in Wales, give us an almost unfair advantage when tendering for work in the London area. The net result of this is that whilst many web site design companies are disappearing, or downsizing, we have never been busier, and expect 2003 to be a record year of growth for s8080.' Aimed at tourists, conservationists and students, the site will exercise many of s8080's strengths. s8080's innovative design approach, utilising the theme of seasons and updating the look of the site regularly to keep it in context with the great outdoors, was one of the reasons that the work was won. Likewise, s8080’s expertise in back-end functionality will allow Lee Valley Park's staff (via a Content Management Solution) the flexibility to update the site as often as they want, from wherever they are, with no need for training in the technical workings of the web.
