s8080 were invited to create the Axis leasing site because of their extensive background in creating highly functional web sites, that are simple to use. The Axis Leasing web site was designed with two main goals in mind: To provide information about the company, promoting Axis Leasing's brand image and corporate strengths to potential customers and, perhaps more importantly, to provide an on-line application that the company's partners could use to rapidly create quotes 'in the field'. s8080's expertise in web applications and internet security have allowed the creation of a site that allows Axis Leasing's partners to log in, securely, via an internet browser from anywhere in the world, to immediately create a quote for a client, and to know that the information they have entered is centrally and safely stored. The approach has numerous advantages - including ensuring that all partners have access to the same information, application updates are immediate - with no need to install the system on individual portables, and no need to transmit the quotes to a central point for later processing. Matt Howard, s8080's technical director said: 'We are finding more and more of our clients are becoming aware of the advantages of doing their business on-line. Axis Leasing is a prime example of a forward thinking company, taking advantage of the centralisation and efficiency savings that that professionally designed and implemented web technologies can bring.' The site also incorporates s8080's proprietary content management solution (CMS) that allows Axis Leasing staff to update the web site, without any technical skills and minimal training, permitting further long-term cost savings by reducing the overall cost of ownership, whilst ensuring that the site content is always up to date.
